Each badge corresponds to a defined review process where evidence is required, assessed, and recorded against specific standards at a point in time. Badges exist to make verification status visible and comparable, not to imply outcomes or assurances.
This page explains what each badge represents, what evidence is reviewed, how long verification remains valid, and what happens if requirements are no longer met.
Verified Provider
What this badge means
A verified Provider is someone whose identity has been checked using official documentation. This helps confirm that the personor business behind the profile is real and traceable.
Verification is completed at a specific point in time and is based on the documents provided.
Evidence required
To receive this badge, the provider must submit valid official documentation, which may include:
- UK issued government photo ID (such as a passport or driving license), or other accepted identity documents
- Proofof UK address (dated within the required timeframe)
- UK business registration details (where operating as a business)
Documents are reviewed for verification purposes only. The specific documents accepted may vary depending on the provider’s circumstances and applicable regulations.
Expiry rules
- This badge is valid for a defined verification period after approval
- Verification must be kept up to date to remain active
- The badge may expire or be removed if required documents lapse, are withdrawn, or are no longer valid
What happens when verification expires
- The verified Provider badge is greyed out then removed after grace period
- The provider must submit up to date documents to regain verified status
- Expired verification will be clearly shown to pet owners

Home Access Approved
What this badge means

For pet sitters entering private homes, criminal background checks are not required for this badge. Where applicable to other roles, background check documentation may be reviewed as part of higher verification tiers only.

To receive this badge, the provider must supply supporting evidence to validate reviews, which may include:
- Booking confirmations, invoices, or receipts linked to the review
- Payment records showing a completed service
- Message history or correspondence with the reviewer
- Other reasonable evidence requested to confirm the review relates to a genuine service experience

Expiry rules
- This badge remains active while the provider continues to meet the Verified Reviews Only requirements
- The badge may be greyed out or removed if reviews can no longer be supported with appropriate evidence or if verification standards are not maintained

- The Verified Reviews Only badge is greyed out or removed from the providers profile
- Reviews may be hidden, flagged, or paused pending further investigation
- The provider may be asked to resubmit evidence to restore the badge

To receive this badge, the provider must submit UK-based official compliance documentation, which may include:
- Valid UK public liability insurance covering the services offered
- Any UK licenses, permits, or registrations relevant to the providers role
- Professional qualifications or memberships where applicable to the service provided

To receive this badge, the provider must hold all relevant underlying badges and submit additional UK-based documentation, which may include:
- Higher levels of public liability insurance appropriate to the services offered
- Additional background check documentation, such as basic DBS check where legally permitted and appropriate to the role
- Enhanced declarations relating to conduct, responsibility, and scope of services
- Any other role specific documentation required to meet the Elite Standard threshold

Expiry rules
- This badge is valid for a defined Elite verification period after approval
- All underlying badges and documents must remain active to retain Elite Standard
